Malaysia cheapest oil?

Malaysia Oil is now RM2.70/liter, cheapest?

I think most of your heard, that the word that the government being using "subsidize" is not really correct. By increasing the price, they are only increasing their earning as the oil are our own productions. Where got people pay to eat durian at their own plantation. Funny that they say it is subsidize.

Rants and raves of a non-driver

I've just about had it with the local public transportation network. When I first started my career here in KL, among the more popular comments I received were 'It's a car-driving' society around here' or 'I'll guarantee that in 3 months you'll be getting a car'. And I really resented those well-meant words. I resented them because of the fact that they were so true.

All those out there who have never had to experience the joys of public transport, count your blessings. Seen any of those bright cheerful posters plastered all around the train/lrt stations, particularly the KTM stations? Something about it saving time and money and to top it all, you get an enjoyable ride all the way? HAH, BULLDUST. Unless, of course, you enjoy waiting for ages just for the train to turn up, only to find it bursting at the seams with people clutching precariously at the railings. Oh, and who could forget the fact that you're squished up against unknown strangers, body odour and all, with hardly space to bring your hand up to scratch an itchy nose. And when the train pulls up at your stop, and you're stuck somewhere halfway up the train..... it looks like you'll be going for a joyyyyyyride, except that it won't be joyful in the least.

And now, thanks to the recent fuel price hike, people just can't seem to get enough of public transport. The commuters are squeezed so tightly in the compartments, even sardine manufacturers would be impressed. And if before you could barely move a hand, now you couldn't even wriggle a finger. So many arms and legs (and other body parts) would be pressed against you, you can't even differentiate the innocent ones from the sexual harassments. Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but you get the point.

But... have no fear! The government is set to put our minds at ease with the new train extensions that were recently featured in the papers. Due to be completed in....... 2012. IF it can even be completed by then. The government has been famous, or should I say infamous, for enthusiastically anouncing projects, fiddling half-heartedly about with them, delaying the progress, and finally neglecting them altogether in favour of another newly commenced project. It's bad enough that they're making long-term promises that might never end up being fulfilled, they're not even doing anything to ease the flow in the short-term. Take the KTM service for instance, I shudder just to think of it. The delays are so long, a huge crowd would have gathered by the time the train arrives. And despite being one of the first there, you might very well not make it in the train at all. Yes, it's that packed. And believe me, I'm not the only one fed up about it. If you look closely at the walls in KL Sentral, you'll see scribblings of 'KTM sux'.

The least they could do: increase train frequencies. Or at least be on time! If you wanna raise fuel prices, fine. But for god's sake, improve your public transport system first.

Nota : (ayat - ayat standard)

1. Kenaikan minyak masih rendah berbanding mana2 pun negara ASEAN.

2. Kerajaan akan pastikan kenaikan tidak membebankan.

3. Kerajaan tidak mampu lagi menampung subsidi.

Negeri lain bukan macam negara kita.

kejadian sedemikian?Orang lain hutang duit, kita sebagai rakyat Malaysia pula kena membayar ? Yang penting sekali,
bukan setakat bayar sahaja, manakala nak bayar sampai bila ? Adakah ini akan berhenti ?............

Mat Rempit At Large

Mat Rempit is another problem in Malaysia, its getting more unsafe. I really don't blame the shell personel for not helping as take it as you are the person in the shop. Will you run out unarm againts 6-7 motorcyclist? Looking for death? Best option that the person can do is call the cops (which i think is what he do, they got training about those scenerio), unless you want to arm him with a short gun else how would you expect him to help? Run out and get wack together with you and also let the petrol station be rob by them as well.

VIOLENT crime in progress: These pictures tell how 14 Mat Rempit ganged up to beat and rob five women during an early morning fuel stop in Bangsar. A CCTV surveillance camera captured the attack on the three sisters and two of their cousins at the Shell petrol station in Jalan Bangsar.

Traumatised, they have vowed never to go to a petrol station again after dark. Twelve young thugs, on six motorcycles, were said to be 'hovering around the station' while a pair on another motorcycle filled up as the women drove in about 3.30am on Saturday.

They were on their way home after a function in Puchong. Sisters Uma Munusamy, 33, Chittra, 32, and Latha, 31, were to drop off cousins Ragas Letchumanan, 28, and Komala, 20, at their Bangsar home when they decided to stop for fuel.

They drove up to a pump at the station. Latha went to the window counter to pay, while Chittra, who was driving, got out to fill up. That was when the Mat Rempit, who had been noisy and boisterous, moved in, as if acting on cue.

One thug attacked Latha, splashing a can of 'Red Bull' energy drink on her face. The sweet-sour liquid stung her eyes, temporarily blinding her as the thug pushed her down, hit her with the drink can and snatched her gold chain and handphone.

Another three dashed to the car to attack the others.

'We were in fear. We thought that we had been splashed with acid, as the liquid they threw on our faces really stung,' said Uma, recalling the attack.

The women screamed for help, but none arrived. The petrol station workers were safe and sound, inside the premises, where the doors had been locked at midnight. 'The workers just stood there, watching,' said Latha.
At the car, the Mat Rempit ordered the girls to hand over their valuables and handphones. One of them just couldn't wait. He yanked Uma's gold bracelet off one wrist and at the same time snatched the handphone she
held in the other hand. Despite fearing for their lives, the girls put up a fight, trying to prevent the robbers from getting away with their belongings. The scuffles only led to injuries, but fortunately, minor ones. Ragas was hit on the head several times, while Chittra sustained injuries on her neck and right arm, besides suffering an injury to the lower lip. She was then beaten up with a soda can. 'The whole incident really traumatised us but what was worse was the fact the workers did not even bother to help,' said Uma. This is one nightmare they do not ever want to experience again. And, for them at least, no more filling up fuel at night, or stopping anywhere either during the wee hours. Their total loss: RM3,000 in cash and valuables.

The five made a report at the Brickfields police station soon after recovering from the shock of the attack. Police saidthey are investigating, and have yet to identify the culprits. The women also expressed their frustration over the Mat Rempit menace.

'So much has been said, so much anger and frustration has been expressed over these motorcycle thugs... but yet they seem to be having a free run,' said Chittra. Their only hope is that justice will be done, that the CCTV images captured by the surveillance camera will lead to arrests and conviction.
