UiTM students protest non-Bumi intake

Please go to this site to know what I am talking about

http://politics101malaysia.blogsome.com/2008/08/13/uitm-
students-protest-non-bumi-intake/

If you guys being reading newspaper, i think all of you heard about the stupid protest by the student of UiTM right? And they wonder why their quality is so bad. All the student want to keep themself under the "Tempurung", scare to have other people to compete with them by giving the reason that the Uni is their Right and also that other races wouldn't want to join UiTM. I really cannot tahan. Ok This is the summary that I get from this few weeks of reading newspaper.

1) The student say that it is their right as Bumiputra

Hard to believe such words is still use in Malaysia. Where is equal rights? The minister of foreign affair say that they always learn from the other country, why not learn from European country where there is really equal rights. Please banish the term of Bumiputra before you want to speak of unity of the nation and say the word "Equal right". One world, One Dream. This will never be able in Malaysia, this quote will be more suitable for Malaysia. "One Malaysia, One Race".

2) The student say that by having 10% of non-Bumiputra, 12,000 poor Malays will not be able to study.

You thinks Malays are the only races that are poor? Lets think of it this way there is one million poor malays and 100 poor chinese and indian. So we should forsake the 100 poor chinese and indian because there is one million poor malays? Funny right? NEP is an outdated rules created last time and you guys are still hugging it like it is your life. No wonder you are so behind all the race.(Not all Malays, some are really good and they also dislike NEP) Lesson to learn, please don't have so many children then you can afford to educate your children and don't let them rely on NEP.

3) They said "We are not racists, we are just activists protecting our rights"

You are racists the moment you are protesting this suggestion. It should that you are not ready to have the mindset of equals right and are racists. Excuses are just excuses.

4) The march to protest was allegedly with the approval of the university administration.

This remind me of the article of UM where the university approve his article which critic Chinese and Indian. No wonder the should quality is low, the staff of the school have the same mindset. Anyone in your right mind, don't send your child there.

5) Under the Ninth Malaysia Plan, the government has allocated RM3 billion for further development of UiTM, including adding branch campuses and hostels as well as financing academic programmes.

Low quality and selfish students to have more funds to be selfish?

6) Quota was 55:45 for Bumiputra and non-Bumiputra students for the IPTA(public institutions of higher learning) intake and the ratio has increased to almost 70:30 in recent years.

The quota for IPTA and IPTS are to their benefits and they say we are taking away their benefits? Then just make it all University can only accepts Bumiputra.
Satu Bangsa??? You must be kidding. Those who really qualify to study will be reject the chances of study because of those selfish students, no wonder Malaysia have no talents, all the talents rather to go oversea when they can afford than stay in this country.

Our Keng Citibank! Sigh

To Citibank,

I have heard great stuff about Citibank from friends and family so I am really interested to apply for a Citibank card but are really dissapointed with Citibank application. For the last two application fail which i dont know why the first one fail and the second one fail is because they cannot get my office number, which they can call me to verified as the office number change. Anyway Citibanks staff keep calling me up to apply and last Monday 18th roughly 9 pm when i was at Shell petrol station at Section 17, a citibank staff who introduce himself as Eddie ask me to apply for Citibank and i was thinking i will try my last time with Citibank and he ask for my HSBC card and also ask my credit limits, and billing address which i felt is not usual. But when i reach home i saw the name card he pass me with this information. (Notice the address is in Ipoh? What the hell they doing here)

Eddie Chong Wai Chyi
Associate Unit Sales Manager
Global Consumer Group

Citigroup Sales & Outsourcing Services Sdn Bhd (631340-K)
1& 1A Medan Istana 3,
Bandar Ipoh Raya 30000 Ipoh,
Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia
Tel +6052498710
Fax +6052410050/2537911
Hp +60165519918/0194339730

And i call the person who so call Eddie at 0165519918 on Thursday to verify and the person who answer the call told me he is Eddie and is not with Citibank but with Hong Leong. So worrying that this is a Fraud, i cancel my HSBC card(Which have really great customer service) right away and call Citibank on Thursday to verify, and was ask by the customer service to log my reports to Mr. Roger at Sales department. Until today i still do not receive a responds from Citibank and today I receive another call from the one so call Eddie asking me my HSBC credit card limit again.(So i suspected fraud as he did ask me before).

So i immediately call Citibank customer service and was answer by the lady Fatimah and I ask her to check on the status whether Citibank is investigating the case and pass her the number where the person is calling me from 05-2498708 and explain the story all over again to her. She told me there is no application submitted yet. Instead of helping me log a report, she tell me that Citibank cannot help me check as I am not a Citibank card holder yet. And is not going to log this case as she said that the information I have given is not enough. With the phone number and material i provided i believe Citibank can do some checking to make consumer felt save using Citibank instead of telling me that I am not a Citibank user and the information is not enough. I am really dissapointed with Citibank on this matter.

Regards,
Francis

Malaysia cheapest oil?

Malaysia Oil is now RM2.70/liter, cheapest?

I think most of your heard, that the word that the government being using "subsidize" is not really correct. By increasing the price, they are only increasing their earning as the oil are our own productions. Where got people pay to eat durian at their own plantation. Funny that they say it is subsidize.

Rants and raves of a non-driver

I've just about had it with the local public transportation network. When I first started my career here in KL, among the more popular comments I received were 'It's a car-driving' society around here' or 'I'll guarantee that in 3 months you'll be getting a car'. And I really resented those well-meant words. I resented them because of the fact that they were so true.

All those out there who have never had to experience the joys of public transport, count your blessings. Seen any of those bright cheerful posters plastered all around the train/lrt stations, particularly the KTM stations? Something about it saving time and money and to top it all, you get an enjoyable ride all the way? HAH, BULLDUST. Unless, of course, you enjoy waiting for ages just for the train to turn up, only to find it bursting at the seams with people clutching precariously at the railings. Oh, and who could forget the fact that you're squished up against unknown strangers, body odour and all, with hardly space to bring your hand up to scratch an itchy nose. And when the train pulls up at your stop, and you're stuck somewhere halfway up the train..... it looks like you'll be going for a joyyyyyyride, except that it won't be joyful in the least.

And now, thanks to the recent fuel price hike, people just can't seem to get enough of public transport. The commuters are squeezed so tightly in the compartments, even sardine manufacturers would be impressed. And if before you could barely move a hand, now you couldn't even wriggle a finger. So many arms and legs (and other body parts) would be pressed against you, you can't even differentiate the innocent ones from the sexual harassments. Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but you get the point.

But... have no fear! The government is set to put our minds at ease with the new train extensions that were recently featured in the papers. Due to be completed in....... 2012. IF it can even be completed by then. The government has been famous, or should I say infamous, for enthusiastically anouncing projects, fiddling half-heartedly about with them, delaying the progress, and finally neglecting them altogether in favour of another newly commenced project. It's bad enough that they're making long-term promises that might never end up being fulfilled, they're not even doing anything to ease the flow in the short-term. Take the KTM service for instance, I shudder just to think of it. The delays are so long, a huge crowd would have gathered by the time the train arrives. And despite being one of the first there, you might very well not make it in the train at all. Yes, it's that packed. And believe me, I'm not the only one fed up about it. If you look closely at the walls in KL Sentral, you'll see scribblings of 'KTM sux'.

The least they could do: increase train frequencies. Or at least be on time! If you wanna raise fuel prices, fine. But for god's sake, improve your public transport system first.

01-31/05-12/2008 - RM 2.52 (kenaikan RM 0.60) Pasti Selepas Undi

Nota : (ayat - ayat standard)

1. Kenaikan minyak masih rendah berbanding mana2 pun negara ASEAN.

2. Kerajaan akan pastikan kenaikan tidak membebankan.

3. Kerajaan tidak mampu lagi menampung subsidi.

Negeri lain bukan macam negara kita.

kejadian sedemikian?Orang lain hutang duit, kita sebagai rakyat Malaysia pula kena membayar ? Yang penting sekali,
bukan setakat bayar sahaja, manakala nak bayar sampai bila ? Adakah ini akan berhenti ?............

Mat Rempit At Large

Mat Rempit is another problem in Malaysia, its getting more unsafe. I really don't blame the shell personel for not helping as take it as you are the person in the shop. Will you run out unarm againts 6-7 motorcyclist? Looking for death? Best option that the person can do is call the cops (which i think is what he do, they got training about those scenerio), unless you want to arm him with a short gun else how would you expect him to help? Run out and get wack together with you and also let the petrol station be rob by them as well.

VIOLENT crime in progress: These pictures tell how 14 Mat Rempit ganged up to beat and rob five women during an early morning fuel stop in Bangsar. A CCTV surveillance camera captured the attack on the three sisters and two of their cousins at the Shell petrol station in Jalan Bangsar.

Traumatised, they have vowed never to go to a petrol station again after dark. Twelve young thugs, on six motorcycles, were said to be 'hovering around the station' while a pair on another motorcycle filled up as the women drove in about 3.30am on Saturday.

They were on their way home after a function in Puchong. Sisters Uma Munusamy, 33, Chittra, 32, and Latha, 31, were to drop off cousins Ragas Letchumanan, 28, and Komala, 20, at their Bangsar home when they decided to stop for fuel.

They drove up to a pump at the station. Latha went to the window counter to pay, while Chittra, who was driving, got out to fill up. That was when the Mat Rempit, who had been noisy and boisterous, moved in, as if acting on cue.

One thug attacked Latha, splashing a can of 'Red Bull' energy drink on her face. The sweet-sour liquid stung her eyes, temporarily blinding her as the thug pushed her down, hit her with the drink can and snatched her gold chain and handphone.

Another three dashed to the car to attack the others.

'We were in fear. We thought that we had been splashed with acid, as the liquid they threw on our faces really stung,' said Uma, recalling the attack.

The women screamed for help, but none arrived. The petrol station workers were safe and sound, inside the premises, where the doors had been locked at midnight. 'The workers just stood there, watching,' said Latha.
At the car, the Mat Rempit ordered the girls to hand over their valuables and handphones. One of them just couldn't wait. He yanked Uma's gold bracelet off one wrist and at the same time snatched the handphone she
held in the other hand. Despite fearing for their lives, the girls put up a fight, trying to prevent the robbers from getting away with their belongings. The scuffles only led to injuries, but fortunately, minor ones. Ragas was hit on the head several times, while Chittra sustained injuries on her neck and right arm, besides suffering an injury to the lower lip. She was then beaten up with a soda can. 'The whole incident really traumatised us but what was worse was the fact the workers did not even bother to help,' said Uma. This is one nightmare they do not ever want to experience again. And, for them at least, no more filling up fuel at night, or stopping anywhere either during the wee hours. Their total loss: RM3,000 in cash and valuables.

The five made a report at the Brickfields police station soon after recovering from the shock of the attack. Police saidthey are investigating, and have yet to identify the culprits. The women also expressed their frustration over the Mat Rempit menace.

'So much has been said, so much anger and frustration has been expressed over these motorcycle thugs... but yet they seem to be having a free run,' said Chittra. Their only hope is that justice will be done, that the CCTV images captured by the surveillance camera will lead to arrests and conviction.

Got money to go space but no money to fix facilities?

Isn't it funny. That the goverment have money to send a person to space, build the Eye of Malaysia, and etc but they just dont have the money to fix a stupid toilet at the Komplex Sukan Negara. Imaging this, there are 10 bath place and only 2 bath place are still usable, the rest of the bath place water plug is spoil but till now no one fix them. How much does it cost to just fix the water plug.

This make me think, the goverment only do things that the citizen can see so that they can prove that they are doing something but instead, all they do are making citizen life harder and not improving them at all. its like they are trying to build a rocket before building oxygen in the rocket. So end up, all the passenger in the rocket will die and they will said "Well we manage to send the rocket to space, so what if the passenger die?" This prove that the goverment put the citizen wellfare last and they money earning and face first.

Government has increased the allocation of the 9MP by RM30bil to RM230bil.

The link above say that the goverment increase those fund for upgrade of citizen lifes but truthfully where do all the money go? I think all of you have the ideas.(RM30 bil last time and they can't even fix a toilet water plug, and now they have RM 230bil, possible 3 or 4 more people will get to space. LOL.) Last Friday I heard in 988 where they ask people to say 10 good improvement that Malaysia have since the past 5 years and most funny is all the caller that call say how Malaysia go from bad to worst and the DJ remind them to say good things and not bad things, end up the callers say there is nothing to say when you want to say good things. If they allow the caller to talk about the 10 things that gotten worst from 5 to 10 years, i believe a lot of things will be said.

The Education

I am seeing people changing in Malaysia with the increase of technology, The Internet. One of the main factor i believe that the opposition manage to get more vote, is because of Internet. Last time I learn from a teacher that before we went into a school, our mind is like shooting all directions and that is when we are innovative and open to anything. But after going into school, our mind all is heading only one direction. Why? I believe this is the Malaysian culture and the educational systems. They train you to be follower more than being a leader. Don't question the teacher, they are always right.

Do you remember when the teacher ask you to copy and draw exactly what the text book write and draw out all those picture into your exercise book?(This is secondary we are talking about). I wonder what is the use of that? But if you look at it from a further view, you can see that it is training you not to ask, just draw and follow. You see those are what blocking our innovation. The time use to copy those stuff that even a no brainer can do, can be use to do better stuff.

Another obvious lesson will be Moral, as if when you memorize all the point, you will have great Moral. All the subjects that they teach are mostly memory base. Once you have a good memory, you have no problem in any of it. No worries, you don't need to use your brains. How many of you still remember all those point. Do you think that it help you anyway in your life? Isn't it better to teach something more meaningful than just copy and paste. We have computer to do that for god sake.

Without the internet, most of here will still be thinking that the world is a very small place and we will just follow and don't complain to the goverment no matter how bad the government is like those slave in olden time. When i went to Singapore, i saw one of my cousin secondary textbook, and most of the question inside is our malaysia college level question. I felt so stupid compare to my cousin who is only in secondary level. A big country such as Malaysia when compare to a small country like Singapore, and it lose to it near every aspect. Economy, Education, and Citizen wellfare.

Police a bigger Gangster?

Everytime when you are in trouble, did your mom ask you to go and find police? I believe not right? If yes, well for mine case is not. From what i experience, normally you will be given a relative or friends contact number that is nearest to you. Well i believe this is expected, our country police are more like gangster than police. How many of you get into trouble and get your problem solve by the police? How many of you get into trouble and the problem is worsen by the police. I believe the second scenario are most face by everyone.

Just a really good example, I was involve in a accident at night and because there are people injured, me, and mine friend call the ambulance, police and take picture of the place(Well this is to gurantee your own safety, explain more later). After a short while the ambulance arive and take the injure person to the hospital then came the police and i really regret that we call them. They just walk around then ask me to talk to them alone. Then keep saying that I am mostly wrong and wanted money so that they will help me to be on the correct side.(Really sweat, POLICE!). After i told them that i know i am not at wrong and not going to pay them anything, they just go away. I ask them don't they need to take down a report or anything, they ask me to do that at a police station and they cannot do anything. (Basically they are just there to take money)

I believe that most of you know that when you got into accident, you can hire agent(Foreman) to settle for you, and how they settle, they give money to the police and the police will change the report so you are at the right. So do you still think police are good guys? Our police are so well known to collect KOPI money, cooperate with criminal to rob citizen, treat citizen as toys(If you still remember the case the police as the girl to go naked and do squart and also the most recent sexual abuse at police station) and etc.

Try comparing our police to a Singapore or Hong Kong police. Don't they know the value of the uniform they are wearing? Is the uniform they are wearing just a way for them to be a lawful gangster so that they can bully the citizen? I believe that this statement is quite true, Corrupt leader will give birth to corrupt followers.

MCMC Sucks!

I believe alot people received spam message from phone number and also some of you really go and send a message to the shortcode(E.G. 36660 and etc.)

A sample:
"Jon, video U dgn jane disebarkan.Cuba htr ON RT ke 36660 skrg.FREE reg ramai dah tgk video ni.very urgent pls help!Jane call i tadi sampai kelam kabut takut."

A lot ppl out of curiosity will really send the SMS and all those shortcode will suck your money whether you know it or not. Have a look at this page: http://www.skmm.gov.my/consumer/non_compliance.asp the truth is the goverment know about all this illegal charges and spamming but are not doing anything to solve it as they want the money from the company more than they want to help the consumer. You can see that all the company continue to spam consumer with all those charging shortcode and after a lot of complain, the so called MCMC will only ban the short code for a short period of time and poof... The company is back in action to extort more money from us consumer.

Company will continue to do this as long as they can as they know the money they can earn from the consumer will be more than enough to pay for the reactivation of the shortcode and the compound so to them it is nothing. As you can see most of the company that repeatly being ban is always back and spam their user again and the process repeat. What the hell is MCMC doing? If you know that someone who steal your money from the cashier will you ask him go home and take a break and come again after a few month and work at the cashier again?

Don't you think it is funny? Even a blind or a retarded person will know this is totally illogical. The only good explaination is the goverment somehow also benefit from this kind of spamming so are not taking any serious actions againts it. To all mobile user, please be wise and not let those shortcode cheat your money. Even cheating you 1 cent is still cheating. Steadfast in your principle and do not let those evil business man cheat you of your hard earn penny.

Saving to solve problem?

Today I just heard at 988 radio station, the DJ ask us to save because of the oil price hikes and ask us to car pool to save on oil. When I heard this I felt that the DJ dont have any idea what is going on. Do all you think that saving a penny or two a days will help you to solve the problem of oil price hikes? The most interesting about oil price hikes is not only about the price of the oil going from 1.92 to 2.70. It is the effects that come after it.

As most of us will have felt the effects of the price hikes, food price going up, more drug addicts out to get money for your parking at night and want rm 2 to rm 3(Madness), police having more roadblock to get more money from citizen(As if it is not bad enough), to keep it short, everything go up and Malaysia Ringgit drop again. Bravo!

Think of those people that earn only enough to cover the cost of their life, doing this not only it force them to turn to robbery, it is affecting the country economy as a whole. More and more people will be poorer and the rich will get richer because all they need to do is increase price for their product and mantain their current expenses by telling the employees that price hikes so cannot increase their salary as they cannot afford it.(Yes they blame it on the Goverment and turn the anger of their employee toward them. But this is quite rational for them to do that rite?)

Even if the goverment change now, do you think it will solve the problem? Even if the government reduce the oil price now, all the price increase for other things will still maintain. This is a permanent damage that is not reversible. Another Bravo to Malaysia!
